Elegant details with Palm Springs charm

Before the day truly began, every detail had already found its place.
Some weddings just feel like Palm Springs.
Before the first look, before the guests arrived, and before a single vow was exchanged, the story was already beginning.
Every detail felt intentional. Paige’s elegant lace gown hung waiting for its moment, while timeless heels, delicate jewelry, and a beautifully designed invitation suite reflected the classic feel of the day ahead. Rich olive tones, clean typography, and subtle personal touches came together effortlessly, creating a design that felt both refined and unmistakably them.
One of my favorite details was the pair of ceramic swans woven throughout their wedding. From the invitation flat lay and painting on the architecture, to the cake later in the evening, these small nods added personality in such a thoughtful way. It’s those kinds of details that make a wedding feel cohesive and intentional. We love a day full of details!
I always love taking the time to photograph these moments first. They’re the quiet beginning of the story, preserving the pieces that helped bring the entire day to life before everything started moving.
Designed with character
Desert Island is full of personality. The bold colors, timeless mcm architecture, and curated interiors create the perfect blend of luxury and classic Palm Springs style, giving every part of the wedding day a beautiful backdrop. Honestly, there were no bad angles here; keep scrolling if you don't believe me!
A Moment to Slow Down
Wedding mornings always carry a mix of excitement and anticipation. While the bridesmaids helped with the finishing touches and the groomsmen shared a few laughs, everyone knew the biggest moment was still to come. I love when the vibes of the wedding party and family fall into place.
Their first look gave them a chance to step away from it all for a few quiet minutes together. No audience, no distractions... just the two of them. First looks can be controversial, but I have never seen a groom not get emotional seeing his bride to be walk down the aisle after their first look earlier in the day; would recommend!
You also get the chance to have extra time enjoying together before more formalities continue!
A Picture Perfect Setting
One of the things I love most about Desert Island is the variety it offers. Within just a few minutes, we were able to photograph family portraits beneath the venue’s whimsical swan ceiling pond, surrounded by colorful Palm Springs architecture, and out among the desert landscape with towering cacti and the beautiful midday light. Every corner feels different, making it easy to create a gallery with so much variety.
The Ceremony Details

All Eyes on the Bride
From the moment the music began, the entire ceremony felt calm and intentional. As Paige made her walk down the aisle, you could feel just how excited everyone was for the moment they’d been waiting for.
Meaningful Moments
The Best Part
There’s something special about an outdoor ceremony in the Coachella Valley. Warm sunshine, mountain views, and thoughtful details like the parasols created an atmosphere that felt relaxed, timeless, and unmistakably Palm Springs. The guests did not dissapoint in their attire as well.
Natural Moments (my favorite)
Some of my favorite photographs come from simply walking together. With the mountains, palm trees, and beautiful desert scenery surrounding us, Paige and Luke were able to relax, be themselves, and enjoy a few quiet moments before heading back to celebrate with everyone. Keeping an eye for candid moments like these really piece the final gallery together to tell the whole story.
A Walk Into the Celebration
One of my favorite parts of Desert Island is how every space flows into the next. Guests strolled through the beautiful grounds before arriving at a reception filled with bold florals, rich colors, and thoughtful details that carried the day’s design into the evening.
Reception & Cocktail

A Timeless Setting
The right location makes all the difference. Desert Island’s lush greenery and beautiful open shade created the perfect setting for timeless family portraits before everyone headed off to celebrate.
Designed with Intention
This was the kind of wedding every photographer hopes to capture. Timeless style, thoughtful details, beautiful light, and so much genuine joy. It was an absolute dream to document from beginning to end.

Cheers to the Newlyweds

the start of reception

Paige and Luke brought so much energy into their grand entrance, and it set the tone for the rest of the evening. The reception room looked absolutely incredible, with every detail thoughtfully in place before guests found their seats. As dinner began, heartfelt toasts filled the room with laughter, stories, and just enough happy tears, making it the perfect start to an unforgettable night.
A Dance to Remember
The reception space couldn’t have been a more beautiful setting for the evening’s dances. The floor to ceiling velvet curtains added incredible texture and symmetry, creating a classic backdrop that let every moment take center stage. From Paige and Luke’s first dance to the parent dances that followed, every photograph felt timeless and full of emotion.
A Sweet Ending
The cake cutting was everything it should be. Fun, relaxed, and full of personality. Between the laughter, the reactions, and the playful moments, it's always one of my favorite parts of the evening to capture.
Until the Last Song
Some weddings just stick with you, and this is one of them. Beautiful people, meaningful moments, incredible design, and a celebration that never slowed down. Paige and Luke, thank you for inviting me into one of the biggest days of your lives. It was an absolute dream to photograph, and one I’ll never forget.
